Helping my son with math, I had some calculator nostalgia and pulled out these beauties. Pretty sure half of you know the 48GX very well, and the other half haven’t a clue.

Not only did it start right up with fresh batteries, it looks and acts brand new, after all these years and many years of use..

For those of you that don’t know, the HP 48GX was a marvel of its time. A classic, a legend..

How in the world did you hold onto it over decades?

It got me through Calc 1,2,3 linear algebra, trig, etc.. Got me through college, so wouldn’t be where I am today without it.

Nostr.build literally wouldn’t be here today without it!! (Maybe a good thing 🤣)

One of my all time favorite tools, how could I ever part with it! 😍

incredible TI once made calculators

It's definitely been awhile.

My father works with one. I can’t even add 1+1 with it.

Math is not my peg! I hate math!

I love math, but calculus is hard..

I miss maths class. Only part of school I enjoyed. Only thing I was ever really good at.

Language of the universe

When you get in that FLOW state and are able to big number calculations in your head in a split of second. Those were the good old days for me.

I am bit out of practice nowadays, haven’t really had to mental maths since I enter the work force.

I still use my 48G regularly. Once I got used to RPN it was hard to use anything else 😁. The emulator version on Android is my go-to when I need a calculator.

Oh yeah, I like the stack way better..
