Nostr is just so much more fun than Twitter
I interact with great Bitcoiners in both places
but things just feel more free and loose here.
I think we tend to underestimate how much different we act in slightly different circumstances. You can feel it here.

This is how I felt about Facebook for my practice. I found that deleting it from my phone and only doing periodic check-ins has helped me avoid all the other slop that pops up every time I log in, and I’ve been able to delegate more of the social media administration to other people. Somehow scrolling on nostr has never had the same doom scrolling feel since we create our own algorithm here

Sorry I don’t mean literally creating it. I just mean we can more closely curate our follow list without being force fed whatever the X algo wants us to see, and use things like Primal’s trending tabs to see the biggest posts of the day. I just love having more control over my experience than I did on X
The X algorithm seems designed to increase fear, grievance, and hate. Nostr feels like early social media platforms that were fun and pro-social.

Definitely agree. A week ago I accidentally deleted my original account (that button on your client that’s say delete your account … believe it!! It doesn’t just delete the client 😂).
So I was just going to get off social media but frankly after a few days I just missed nostr. Not like I needed it (I hope) but I missed the ideas on here. Also I find it quite funny.

that's why i joined nostr, sharing my gym journey in nostr and in twitter is not the same.
I know there is more “action” on twitter, but I don’t need it, Nostr keeps it simple and for the most part I get what I want without all the nonsense!
