That’s just like, your opinion man.

Oh fuck he got us

the only valid opinion, imho!

That's what happening when a person self censors themselves.

That's just like, your opinion man.

Yeah but you're allowed to pick an eclectic mix of other people's opinions as your own.

You don’t want to hear other peoples opinion. You want to hear your opinion coming out of their mouth.

So ... nobody has any original ideas? it's all derivative? it means we, humans, only have collective mind. doesn't sound right.

Statistically I’d imagine over 99% of ideas are not distinctly unique from ideas communicated or documented anytime in history. “New to you” could be argued from a limited knowledge perspective.

It probably boils down to unique vs "figured on my own"? Still, I think they can be your's. Like when some physicists come independently to the same conclusion.

I feel like original note was more about "influencers" and parroting. But 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think what happens is sometimes I successfully forget where I heard an idea and internalize it as my own.

Yes, Rupert Sheldrake, mind field, nothing new under the sun, etc. BUT we can try, right?

Strongly disagree. An intelligent person grounded in their core being is capable of independent opinions.

u cant own an opinion, but u can share it and thereby spread it. if its an opinion that doesnt hurt u if other have it, u benefit sharing it. this is key and a fundamental underpinning of incentive-driven design #IDD and the bedrock upon which we build the #protocolSociety

Read "Christian Tieck - Der Bitcoin Gelduntergang". It's an excellent challenge for Bitcoin maximalism. I have identified some shortcomings but overall it's an well thought through perspective on Bitcoin from classical economic analysis and game theory.

Even the most novel ideas are the result of summating the thoughts of others.
