Okay so if I'm reading this right, the acceptable max operating temp on the whatsminer website is like 35 degrees C which is 95 F...? Are people mining in hotter climates with air cooling just shutting them off above these temps, or I guess cooling the air before it gets to the miners...? I thought normal CPU temps were much higher? Is this just like a "don't stick q-tips in your ears" sort of temp or is 95 degrees really the max temp? #bitcoin #mining #miners

I’m mining in a South East Asian country and the room that i mine gets really hot like 35-36 degrees and miners keep chugging along just fine..just need to make sure enough air flow going through

Mine is in an immersion tank and holds steady around 55 deg

This is what I really needed to know, thank you!

Cheers mate thanks for the zap

I suspect that they’ll still work, just with degraded performance. Like with overclocking CPUs. They get too hot and they get more unstable with more errors.

The *chip, gets much hotter than this (mine was up in the 150 degree range). I think its about making sure the air you are cooling with is actually going to cool it, or using a liquid alternative.

ie. if its 120 degrees outside and your miners overheat, don't call Whatsminer because they warned you, lol.
