I think kind 42 (chat) is picked up as a regular note on Damus. I made a chat client and it did the same thing.
Not your fault. Not sure why Damus needs to read kind 42 like kind 1 notes. Should probably be changed.

I do know from my own testing that my chat events showed up on Damus so thatโs why I guessed as much.
