I just went to the Grand Canyon. Here are some pictures I took. It looks way cooler in real life. I used a Nikon D90 and a 35mm 1.8 lens.

Obviously I'm kind of biased, but the kid did a pretty good job with these. He managed to work in some rule-of-thirds and leading lines, and he shot them in manual mode with decent focus and exposure.
So yeah, get your kid an old DSLR. They come up with interesting stuff. #photo #photostr #photography
I once read, decades ago in a book entitled "The Official Jewish Joke Book" by Larry Wilde (?), that The Grand Canyon was created when a Jew dropped a penny down a gopher hole.

I've always wanted to goto the Grand Canyon! These are fantastic photos. Really conveys the scope and size of the canyons and I like how the clouds shadow in places. Zooming in the shrubs look so small. Good camera work!
