They want our vote. I guess we are winning.
Discussion
people actually believe that shit?
Some do but I do not but find it funny they got to pander to us now for votes.
I have an idea. we should donate the money we've separated from the state to those eager to run the state.
Not exactly. We believe that we have an increasing amount of political influence, but we're still too small of a constituency to completely outweigh the interests of the Deep State.
We're like homeschoolers, that way.
and like homeschoolers, we are building the Big Boy that is gonna flatten the deep state
Yes. They're just acknowledging that we can't be completely ignored, anymore.
I think real change will start at the local level, tho.
yes, and this requires physical proximity for a reasonable size of population working towards it... but the value of having alignment with your neighbours tends to cause clustering... i'm here on Madeira for the moment precisely because there is so many bitcoiners here, i expect in the next few years this will blow up in a big way, madeirans are pretty cranky people in general and super mad about both lisbon and brussels trying to dictate shit to them, so we form a natural alternative choice
there is other regions that are building this up as well, i expect this is going to be a virus over the next few years, and of course TPTB will overreact to it, but strike everywhere except for at us
or at least, they can only strike a few high value targets and then hope that the rest of us cower
not gonna happen
I like that!
I love how he says “bitcoin” it gets me every time 😂
I'm not a Yank but why do you need his permission?
We dont but it would be nice if they stopped arresting open source devs who developed privacy tools.
Slowly, then suddenly
We are winning, but the looser will lash out in their dying gasps
Yea whenever the dollar is on the ropes they will all 180 their stance on Bitcoin and start lashing out on us for sure.
#VoteTrump
He’s getting it to
While this is great to hear I do recall him getting everyone excited about arresting Hillary Clinton just to pull the plug after he won.
This plus the Ross comment seems to be a specific nod to bitcoiners and libertarians though
Yea I do not believe him he is definately pandering to get votes. I'd love if he did follow through on releasing Ross. He can't be any worse than the Biden adminstration though so this will work and he will get votes.
Right. The rhetorical alone is a positive imo.
Many bitcoiners won't be thrilled that bitcoin is becoming politicized, but that was inevitable.
At least it's standing on the winning side.
This is the end game for the entire political class.
Begging for Bitcoin.
Drop the capital gains taxes on everything and guarantee no attacks on self sovereign usage, or don't even bother begging.
Pre-election trump
"I love WikiLeaks"
Post-election Trump
"It's not my thing, the courts will decide on Assange"
Probably plays out again with Bitcoin. Its already known he is a strong dollar maxi. If Bitcoin ever threatens that he would 180 on this Bitcoin stance in a blink of an eye
Imagine believing a campaign promise
Interesting statement.
The future crypto and future bitcoin. Will be made in the USA.
NOT nowdays bitcoin, something else.
Maybe something similar with BRICS blockchain?
All i know is that the dollar is not at its best. Maybe he doesn't throw empty promises to gather votes. Maybe there is something else going on. What do you think?
I think he has no idea what bitcoin or any crypto is but understands a lot of people into it and he needs their vote.
Yes i think so too. But he has economic advisors who give him strange proposals. For example recently they had this odd proposal https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-04-25/trump-advisers-discuss-penalties-for-nations-that-de-dollarize . I have the feeling that something is going on. And BRICS are moving on this field...
The way he says Bitcoin sounds like he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.
After watching this again I don't know what's absurder. Politicians asking for campaign donations with the money we've separated from the state. Or believing that one in five Americans owns Bitcoin.
Or one in six.
This is the correct take. Let’s all just take the win.
The "Bitcoin doesn't need politicians' approval" response of some is hilarious. Like yes man, we know. We're allowed to have things not be a battle all the time.
How about we up the ante and tell him to abolish the Federal Reserve, the 16th Amendment, and no capital gain tax for individuals.
Nobody is saying they'll consider prosecuting Anthony Fauci for his crimes.
