Brother, I just do not care enough about politics any longer. 2015-2020 exhausted me beyond repair. I've since come to the conclusion that you can't change people's beliefs or opinions once they've gone far enough down a certain path and it's just not worth the time and effort to try to convince them otherwise. We're all entitled to our opinions here and I'm absolutely cool with that. 🫂🤙🏻

That said, I truly value your opinion. I'll add this to my list to check it out. Promise. I'll try to listen tomorrow on my next run.

🤙 no obligation sir. If it helps, the topic is much closer to philosophy than politics, despite the title.

Cool. I added it to my playlist so I have it for tomorrow.

Good morning, hodlbod.

nice, will add to the list of must watch after i listen to your podcasts! Based on the summary, isn't religion used as politics everywhere? in US both right and left, not just left. Pretty sure Trump is not bothered about abortion as much as he cares how much votes he can get revoking it. Before protestants came about, the angst was needing to pay money to claim atonement, and masses conditioned as Bible was interpreted by a few. The 80s Islamization movement was to reduce the spread of American power. I think separation of state and church doesn't really exist? Or maybe it does in like France and other socialist democrat countries, but doubt it exist in the US, be it right or left.

Yeah, although I would say religion always *informs* politics, rather than (primarily) being a tool *used* by politics. In other words, if religion is being "used", the users are actually either hypocrites, or adherents of a different religion.

This looks interesting and is probably a great listen.

However..

The following is not a personal criticism or attack:

a group of old white men talking about race and gender is just so.. I don't know.. done? Even if their points are all deep and thought provoking it just appears so virtue signally..

No offense meant by this.

Just my two sats.

That's because you adopt the frame they are criticizing. Reason has no race or gender.

I get what you mean. I'm just talking from my ass, but on the surface it just comes off that way.

I'll have to give it a listen.
