I just realized I'm going to lose my 425 day streak on Duolingo when I go backpacking.

This is unfortunate 😐

But at least you can speak the language now

Not even close honestly

Oh scheisse! πŸ˜‚

This might be helpful if the goal is to speak the language.

I will check it out, thanks πŸ€™

That’s why I stopped using Duolingo

I figured I would use it to get the vocabulary and grammar into my head, which has helped me understand it. If I am ever emersed I figured I'll pick it up a little faster.

For the 5 minutes a day or so I spent on it, the trade seems worthwhile

I personally like Memrise better. Promova seems decent too, after I tried it only for a bit. And I still have to test Busuu.

Nice. I will check that out. Duolingo recently changed their subscription system and it feels pretty pushy. I'll be glad for a shift

You gotta pump those numbers bro

WHOA

What language are you working on?

You only get so many days on this earth. Sometimes it's best to let go of something that's holding you back from the truly important things in life.

If you think on it long enough I know you'll make the right decision. It's time to give up backpacking forever.

I was with you until the last sentance! πŸ€™

Use a tablet device and auto adjust the clock to front load (or backload) days to keep the steak alive!

*manually adjust. Turn off auto-set for the clock

I think I need to log the streak daily with internet connection on order to keep it alive.

The best work around I've found is to give someone else my password and have them keep it alive for a week. I don't think I care enough to do that
