I really hate binary thinking. We are capable of much more than holding one opposing view.

WRONG

I see what you did there.

Just clarifying for those reading along i was joking before i get dragged into arguemets 😂

Extremist!

closed-minded and stubborn people, who are unable to see benefits and drawbacks of different points of view are basically anti-innovation, as they want to be right so bad.

👏🏻

Binary thinking is appropriate, this is called logic

Either state of affairs A exists or state of affairs A does not exist

But if A does not exist, perhaps B, perhaps C, and so on

So if not A, then B is a common and false dilemma, which perhaps is what you mean

There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand hexadecimal, and F other kinds.

Then #unblockjack, you frumpy, pointy-eyed, purple cat 😠

Capable of more than one, opposing view... even for binary thinking? 😉

We are very capable 🙏

You should be capable of loving binary thinking

😂

The human brain is two separate brains that operate in opposite ways in every way.

People who don't understand the thing and its opposite are a unit have no imagination. That's from the right brain, which controls the left side.

This ignorance enables manipulators to use these "invisible" opposites to manipulate (with left and right hands) people into things they would not agree to if they understood the binary push/pull trickery.

"When you come to a paradox, you know you're arriving at truth."

🤔

No /s

In my experience when we can hold many viewpoints and remain objective we have a greater sense of the situation and can make better decisions going forward.

Perspective vs perception

Could think of it like a knowledge graph. There are things you know and 99.99% things you don’t know. So maybe hold those opinions loosely 😆

To know we don’t know most things is to open the mind to possibility 🤙

Wow, how is this such a hot take?

Because a purple cat said it? 🤷‍♂️

Only a dog deals in absolutes.

😆

Embracing binary thinking in a world defined by diverse circumstances, geography, education, gender, politics, and an array of experiences is akin to limiting our understanding to mere black and white. We’ve got this ฿.!

Historically the world is very dualistic, you should either take a stand or stand for nothing at all

I agree and disagree with your statement simultaneously!

A true sign of intelligence is being able to hold two opposing views in one’s mind at the same time.

NO WE AREN'T
