Tell your ChatGPT to never use the word "alike"

not my wallet, i just alike it

No two wallets are alike

Stack sats stay humble 💯 🙏

Static support address - when silent payments?

i rotate the qr manually, but if you click the donate link it gives you a fresh address or lightning

Maybe this will make things easier once more stable. Silent Payments Desktop wallet. Currently in alpha stage

🤌🏻👌🏾

Had a ColdCard Q for a few months. Not yet in use, exploring and learning first.

Couldn't find any info on "MCU Key Slots". https://coldcard.com/docs/menu-tree/

Any pointers or explenations of what it is ?

Thanks.

Grok has a pretty detailed explanation.

Checking it out

Nice and simple. I like it. I just shared your link to my local Bitcoin group.

Nice! And great rip with NVK - the last 30 min are fucking hilarious and yet still all signal type content 😂

Actually

Considering going back to seed+passphrase. Currently on multi-sig.

simple and powerful

Ive found seed+passphrase to be perfectly sufficient for an individual, and multi-sig being better for institutions

That’s my set up need to make it easy for my family! Just make sure that passphrase is longer the 27 characters just my opinion

That’s what’s dawning on me. I’ve been thinking through a multi-sig inheritance plan and it’s just too daunting.

That's the hardest part.

seed + passphrase is essentially a 2/2 multisig.

Is there an amount of BTC that would cause you to consider multisig? What if hypothetically had 1000 coins?

your specific threat model and technical competence matter more when deciding between single sig and multisig than the actual amount

Okay, I just followed your "easier cold storage guide." Bull Bitcoin is KYC, and it won't let me fund my account from the United States. Really?

the wallet is open source and no kyc

doesn’t require you to use bull bitcoin brokerage

I will take another look at it. Thanks.

So, I don't buy through Bull, only transfer to it. Right?

correct

if you are looking for a kyc brokerage in the us i recommend strike

if you are looking for non kyc i recommend robosats, peach, and hodlhodl

Thank you.

Bull is also the preferred exchange in Canada as it doesn’t custody yer coin.

+1 for Robosats

but depends on your preferred payment method

TY sir

Why not 12 words?

12 is fine

Does bull wallet swap in and out of liquid?

for lightning payments it uses liquid + swaps

That’s what I thought I remembered from Dispatch the other week

Do these instructions work for coldcard mk4?

I’ve been using the Bull Wallet and think it’s a nice easy to use wallet. And really like the option to save transaction notes.

this is my token "open source stack or GTFO"

thank you for your attention to this matter.

I’m having trouble, connected my node server to the app and imported my Coldcard Q and no transactions are showing

how are you hosting your server? is it using tor?

Yeah using Start9 Pure Server. I'm using Orbot app to get tor in ios but transactions won't show up

I had no idea I could use this with air-gapped signing devices.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Does this procedure expose my xpub to the wallet app? I assume so. I don't like the idea of an app on my untrustworthy phone holding all my wallet addresses and public keys. Am I being too paranoid? Any way to keep my xpub only within the cold card?
