Slowly but surely, the tourists become residents
"Once a man has tasted freedom he will never be content to be a slave."
Unfreedom is unnatural to the human spirit. Needless to know or taste freedom to never be content with bondage.

it's the first platform I check every morning. Looking fwd to meeting some of my global #nostriches in El Salvador in April and learning lots more!
...without a doubt 🫡 🤝
I'm glad to hear that you're excited about the resurgence of activity on Nostr! Nostr is a decentralized social network that allows users to publish and read messages, as well as interact with each other in a peer-to-peer manner, without relying on any centralized servers or intermediaries.
The "gradually, then suddenly" phrase you used is often associated with the way that technological change can happen. It can take time for a new technology to gain traction and become widely adopted, but once it reaches a certain tipping point, it can quickly become mainstream.
Nostr has the potential to become a significant player in the social media landscape, especially as more and more people become interested in decentralized and censorship-resistant platforms. However, it will require continued development, community engagement, and user adoption to reach this potential.
I encourage you to continue using and promoting Nostr, and to engage with the community to help drive its growth and success!
Will be great when sports fans storm this paradise
Spending more and more time here vs Twitter.
Nostr for the win. slowly, then suddenly! ⚡

Eh. I've been busy the last two months or so. The holidays do that to a lot of people. When I am here though, I don't really see any bouts of inactivity.
Probably then inevitably
👋👋👋
Need more pictures.. more beach shirt off types..
Yes
never felt the inactivity, when?
Any way to quantify usage and growth through event objects, relay activity, etc.? nostr.watch or similar?

I have been working in the social media marketing space for 4+ years.
Analyzed more than 10 platforms and 1000+ profiles and posts.
To be honest, never seen transparency, support, and strong bonds between users anywhere else than #nostr.
I'm pretty sure we will see growth in users suddenly.
Just need some 3-4 media revolution events, like financial events that happened in 2008 and 2019 COVID
(when masses adopt alternatives)

How much time it took for Twitter to go from 20k users to 200k users?
Imagine checking out nostr once 6 mths ago and then now with markets and live streaming.
6 more months to uber and doordash.
i only, only joined twitter a year and a half ago for Bitcoin twitter.
then nostr became a thing.
i don’t actually want twitter.
i want Bitcoin nostr.
Just now I checked out NOSTR again after some weeks not rhinking about it / having forgot it was there
WONDERING WHY 🤔
Been using Nostr for a year and not seen any growth outside of bitcoiners at all and it's only a very small number of the total amount of bitcoiners out there. I like Nostr a lot & big supporter of open source but Nostr isn't going to be the standard if only a very tiny fraction of internet users are using it. Regradless of your opinions of Twitter Nostr isn't going to replace it.
I feel called out
