Because for some reason the search 🔍 area is not where they put the note search, which is on the home feed area at the very top.
I agree, the 🔍 area should be where all search happens, notes, hashtags, and users.

Oh wow that's crazy unintuitive. I had no clue there was even a search bar on the feed.
The feed is almost immediately used to scroll down so it necessarily disappears under any use. I totally agree the search function should all be consolidated with maybe a simple "•••" button in that tab to change the filter to "accounts / hashtags / notes" or whatever if you want to narrow it down. Thanks for pointing that out. I legit might not have seen that for months. My motion memory to open and scroll is way too built in, lol.
