Sugar is bad for you, but not because of what you think.
Discussion
Last year, I tried carnivore (again, done it two times before, but could only do it 2 weeks before my guts revolted) - but this time I tried your style. With fruit and honey as well. I did not go very well either though. Figured out that I have some hereditary fructose intolerance, making it very difficult to get energy from fructose. Honey even gave me some bad-ass stomach cramps, from just a teaspoon of it. Also, Sweden where I live, not the best place, we import most fruit here so it gets expensive fast...
Everything is a learning experience, so still grateful... I experienced that I sweated more and it smelled bad. Bad energy, no energy for workouts. I think what I'm experiencing is a light version of Fructokinase. Heard of it?
maybe you mixed fruits and meat in the same meals, they digest like crap together. and if you think too much fructose is the issue I would go steamed carrots and squash
candida is a problem. glyphosate kills the bacteria that would balance the candida. sugar causes overgrowth of candida..
Thanks for the wisdom!
Have you heard the thesis that sugar competes in our cells with vitamin C? If so I'd love your thoughts on it.
love your content man but I'm never click on a thumbnail of a shirtless dude.
Paul, how many cows do you own?
I heard about Ice Cream for Bears from you. So good!
Tru datβ¦β¦β¦
So, what should we eat?
I need to cut the sugar!
I read on the Internet that Twinkies are one of nature's powerhouses for polyphenolic compounds. So I hear you loud and clear: fruit, honey and also twinkies. #messageReceived. π
"Sugar is bad for you."
The sugar:

First real, non-religious argument I've heard for prioritizing natural sugars over refined sugars.
1. It's not that natural sugars are only beneficial because of their unique, non-sugar, nutrients. The sugar itself is beneficial to the body.
2. Refined sugars, like evaporated cane sugar, deliver the same 'pure energy' as milk and orange juice.
3. Paul argues that refined sugars have no counterbalance to dysbiosis, unlike natural sugars, which breed dysbiosis exposes people to #endotoxemia.
Now THAT is a well formed argument.
Keep going, Saladino.

Another reason: sugar in the wild always comes with minerals; highly refined sugars don't.
By wasting minerals, you actually undermine glucose metabolism in the long run.
I agree with Paul; better to prioritize the best natural sugars you can get your hands on.
