QUOTE: be consistent before heroic -Kelly Starrett

WORDS to think about: "Shape diet" or maybe "Movement diet"

I read on the Internet that Twinkies are one of nature's powerhouses for polyphenolic compounds. So I hear you loud and clear: fruit, honey and also twinkies. #messageReceived. 😐

Great to see you here sir. I really appreciate the reasonable way you lay out info and what you have come to believe. Thanks for your ongoing awesomeness Paul, from New Zealand.

That's one habit I would love to trojan-horse into all the brains of the world. What an excellent way to reduce decisiveness and increase talkyness.

THOUGHT on scarcity: The most scarce thing in life is my time. It's clear there's only a finite amount each day, but even more importantly, the total supply is unknown. Will the tap turn off for me tomorrow? 40 years from now?

Consider too how much of my time will be available to enjoy the company of this person or that.

supply: fixed but total supply is completely unknowable.

demand...? liquidity...?

fungibility: possibly changes depending on my age and situation?

divisibility: technically infinite, but practically finite. Consider: more thoughts can be done in a minute than physical acts.

My time could be seen to be useable by others but actually that's me making the choice to spend. No one else can directly use it.

MAYBE TRUE: certainty is the warm blanket we wrap around ourselves for protection. It simplifies, makes us feel strong and righteousness, and helps make the other team/other views clearly wrong.

Ambivalence and multiple possibilities are far less strong, more uncomfortable and mucky.

TO REMEMBER: "Each of us is more than the worst thing we’ve ever done.”

~Bryan Stevenson,

THOUGHTS: on not having enough air time in a conversation.

~Noticing my internal reaction/emotion without judgement. What value does my reaction reveal? Can I have compassion/respect for that value?

~Agency: awareness of my ability to control how I act, and to some extent how I respond. Could I make space between the feeling itself and my response?

~Peace: Building the ability to BE WITH what is. Awareness of the training potential that's right here in front of me. This a very important skill and worth nurturing/growing.
