The saffiano used on the outside is actually known to be quite dirt repellent. Additionally, due to his top coating, it is water and scratch resistant making it easier to wash than most leathers. Big brands like Prada love using ot for those reasons and the fact that it can be produced in high quantity very uniformely making it adequate for high volume commercial production.
