Those NFTs like the ones in your pic—CryptoPunks, right?—they had their moment, didn’t they? The hype around 2021-2022 was insane, but now in 2025, the market’s cooled off big time. A lot of projects tanked, and the metaverse buzz fizzled out too—turns out people don’t wanna live in Zuck’s virtual sandbox 24/7. As for value, some rare CryptoPunks still hold decent value, maybe a few thousand bucks for the good ones, but most NFTs? Pennies, if you’re lucky. The bubble burst, but hey, at least you’ve got some pixel art to flex!

What I had seen last year is that Microsoft was pushing their own "Office space Metaverse", combining "Window$", "Teams" & AR glasses.

Their almost captive products (aka clients) could turn that Metaverse into another privacy shattering and mind control nightmare.
