I like that global is almost spam free

GM

The ability to see reactions (including zaps) to posts.

Also, the keyboard isn’t displaying in the mobile web app

I'm glad that Iris has improved a lot during this time and added the Zap feature. It will be more successful if we can improve the following problems. 1 The image display is slow, sometimes showing out ostriches instead of the image itself. 2 When opening a post to see the comments, when exiting the post disappeared in the sea of posts can not be found, and did not return to the previous post location. 3 The number of followers has been a large deviation from the exact number. 🍻

I feel you regarding the ostrich images for failed loadings

#[2] is the best web-based client by far, IMHO. That said…

1) On iOS devices you can touch the top center of the screen and scroll instantly to the top of the page. Iris breaks that and it’s a bit frustrating to users.

2) The “jumpyness” as it’s loading content is a huge issue but I understand how that’s difficult to fix.

3) On profiles, when viewing on mobile web the URL gets mangled next to the lightning bolt just below the icon. On desktop it looks great.

4) A back button that takes you back to exactly where you were would be useful in a number of places - both in the web version and the iOS app.

5) Proper account switching like Hsmstr.to has where it remembers past logins would be awesome for managing multiple accounts.

6) Article/page previews for URLs in notes where you grab the page title and load the preview pic if the meta data exists on the page for that. (Snort has this).

7) Some indication that the search is in progress and then complete.

Sorry for so many items. Iris really is pretty incredible.

Iris is a great web client. Smooth and fast. Especially good job on handling likes. It’s the only client I know of that shows likes on profiles.

❤️

It's also the best on Android imo.

Filter replies to blocked users.

I don't want to see dozens to 100s of replies to engagement farmers.

It would also be nice to just display a link on src messages to replies instead of pre-fetching them. Makes the feed very repetitive to see replies to the same post duplicated over and over while scrolling.

ps Great work on Iris. 👍

#1 needed feature = global feed relay whitelist. Great website!

Check the video and see how the Iris global feed looks from earlier today

(if you know any nostr media hosts that accept a bit heavier files feel free to ping). Birdsite was just the most convenient way to host it at this point 🤷‍♂️

Feed control: option to not show reply notes (only original note) for global as well as personal feed.

Agree on this. Something similar to how Snort has "posts" and "conversations"

Thanks for all the feedback, suggestions and comments ❤️

Jump in and add yours if you haven’t already. It’s weekend after all so no rush 🤙

You rule 🙏🏽💪 So much to do, marketplace, crowdfunding etc...

I am very impressed with iris. I was looking for a twitter replacement. Now i need to rebuild my followers. I like this. Was banned on twitter for saying "wrong speech"

Very impressed with iris obviously needs some work but overall this is very promising. Now i just need to build out my followers.

Zapped ⚡️🙏🏽

Cool feature would be adding bounties. Lock a zap etc. which is released when boynty is met.

For example guestion with a bounty and time to answer. Before the time runs out bounty is either divided by answers or given to one chosen.

I would love if Iris had a little better(more intuitive) way to control what relays to post to and which relays will be read-only.

- The ability to pin a note

- Bookmarking or saving posts

- maybe an algo which sorts global tab posts in a relevant order to your network instead of everything in a chronological order

Pura Vida 🤙🏽

* strange feature: did not realize that the purple austrich images were failed loads, was wondering why so many people use that same image (just learned it in this thread, a user for 5 weeks now) 🦩

* best feature: the spam filtering🥷

* awesome feature: very reliable and very fast 🚀

* to be improved feature: switch between posts and replies ? 📑

* ftw feature: daily updates since its web based

* missing feature: message zaps 😉

I've added all my feature requests as Github issues (:
