Terry Black's is so good

💯

How about Kreuz market in Lockhart? Shoulder clod. Had that?

I miss driving to Austin from west Texas and stopping at shady af looking bbq stands and getting yet more great bbq.

Brady, TX was a favorite stop for me.

Even if there was a good BBQ joint, no one in Washington would support it

Really? Why?

Because, there would be good BBQ there by now

I think it’s because oak doesn’t grow here and trying to ship it in is very cost prohibitive.

BBQ is the only thing that's missing, it's beautiful up there

💯

Are you in Spokane?!? Seattle here. Good to meet you fellow Bitcoiner (and podcaster).👍💕🇺🇸🙏

Another Seattleite here! 🫡

Hey Calvadev-

Want to grab coffee sometime in the next couple of weeks? Would love to hear what ur working on.👍

That would be great! If you have time as well, come to the BitDevs next Thursday; lots of technical talk and a chill beer meetup at the bar next door after.

Sounds like a market waiting to be filled

Indeed. Every single person I’ve talked to around here wants it to happen. Problem is there’s no oak wood.

I’m thinking, if I can secure a steady supply of fruit wood then the inland north west might have a shot of having its own particular style of bbq

You've got access to Apple woods.

Apple, pear, apricot, cherry. There’s all kinds of cool woods out here.

Yep. It's a good climate for Apple and stone fruits.

Used to spend a fair amount of time on that side of the Cascades.

Pear wood. 🍐 2🍐 grilling co

I like that

The Palouse at sunrise is 🔥

It is gorgeous around here. I do miss the desert southwest though and good Mexican food. Not the heat though. I don’t miss that.

There’s one place I’m aware of in Seattle, but it doesn’t quite compare.

I ate at a bbq place on what seemed like the “far side” of Seattle. It was ok but nothing I’d write home about.

You are getting BBQ in Seattle, what did you expect?

It doesn’t have to be this way!

Won’t somebody think of the f&@?$!!?n children!!

You are just going to have to get a smoker and a cord of pecan wood to do it yourself

But . . . the children!
