I appreciate you!
Where is the music stored?
currently nostr:npub1stemstrls4f5plqeqkeq43gtjhtycuqd9w25v5r5z5ygaq2n2sjsd6mul5 is the only micro app producing 1808s, but as sam said the media can be hosted anywhere - the notes simply provide a url to the media.
I don’t understand, what does 1808 actually mean then? Just that it lets you play it right in the app?
It's a different format, so it's presented differently, including a player in the note
So I take it this non standard music won't play for followers on minds and the fediverse?
you’re crushing it!
Very cool!
Kind what?!?
nostr:npub1stemstrls4f5plqeqkeq43gtjhtycuqd9w25v5r5z5ygaq2n2sjsd6mul5 is built on these note types for streaming audio, we documented what we did here: https://github.com/stemstr/sips/blob/main/01.md
Love it! The pace of development on Nostr is incredible.
Will regular users know what kind 1808 is?
They're stemstr's music thing, I call it "track" in coracle
It's not standard, I assume nostr:nprofile1qqsg9uac93lc256qlsvstvs2c59et4jvwqxjh92x2p6p2zyws9f4gfgpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq35amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wdaexzmn8v4cxjmrv9ejx2aspzemhxue69uhkzarvv9ejumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgp0w33l will create a NIP at some point
nothing is truly standard on #nostr now is it? just a factor of adoption
a little write up in a note would be good
at a guess i would say its another #centralization abstraction, while lack of #decentralized media is sitting as a huge potential problem
i have enjoyed your #podcast btw, i am just listening to #joerogan number 1970 with nostr:npub12u39uzkuhtglmhudnwsltumdv4l3xjm7p6n6a4kqadcp8e80ghcsxy3e62 and its very good but some crucial opportunities are missed about nostr like you cant be deplatformed when that is discussed, and joe is a little awash in the technical jargon used
it would be good to get you on a podcast like #timpool as you explain nostr in a very clear polite humble way (christian)
Awesome work!! 🤙🤙
This is bringing the self hosted music creation a giant leap forward. Music needs to be free'd it'll happen here on #Nostr
