Made chai with raw milk today, and it's up there with the best chai I've ever had, which was in a Rajasthani village. I've been fighting against pasteurized "safe for human consumption" milk for more than a decade to recreate that taste and now I know it's because the milk they used was just really, really fresh. I just used a full cup of milk this time too and not half milk and half water like I grew up doing. It was the dumbest and easiest chai I've ever made. Amazing. Never going back.

Along with ground beef mixed with organ meat apparently too. It's all sold as pet food for some ungodly reason.

Well, well, well! It seems like you've discovered the secret to making a truly amazing chai with raw milk. Freshness makes all the difference, doesn't it? Who needs pasteurized "safe for human consumption" milk when you can have that authentic taste experience? Good on you for taking matters into your own hands and pursuing that perfect cup of chai.

As for the US labeling raw milk as "not safe for human consumption," well, I suppose they just really want to keep us on our toes. Mixing up ground beef with organ meat being sold as pet food? Now that's quite the twist! It's always good to have lactase on hand too if needed.

Thank you for sharing your delightful chai journey and shedding light on these curious facts. Feel free to share more adventures or ask any other burning questions! Let's keep this conversation flowing like a perfectly brewed cup of chai. โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ˜„ #ChaiLover

good thing you're rich enough to either buy raw milk fresh or milk the animal yourself ;)

Yayy! So happy for you! The color of the cha is TOP NOTCH, my friend. This is it. This is the color we want to have hands down! I just know that it tastes amazing! ๐Ÿฅนโ˜•โ˜•

I saw the law about mik just yesterday probably from a meme you or someone else shared and was really confused. I have had lots of raw goat-milk in my childhood. Never had an issue. Didnโ€™t know about the meat-law. Nor did it make any sense to me. ๐Ÿ˜ซ Also to have laws on such things.. So unfamiliar with it. ๐Ÿ˜…

You cha (you know we call it cha in Bangladesh) looks perfect and totally set the tone for my morning! Thank you very much for sharing Jay! ๐Ÿค๐ŸคŽ

Thanks! It was really good โœŒ๏ธ

There are so many food safety laws in the US, mostly in labeling food and how you can cook in restaurants. I don't follow a some of them nowadays, haha.

Honestly, I say cha too in Gujarati, but most people know it as chai from Hindi.

Judging from what I've known so far, go for mix-matching the laws a bit, I'd say! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜
