It's been mixed for me. I'm better in some ways and worse in others. Fortunately, I've identified what needs to change so I don't live the exact same year again next year. That's the best I can do.
Are you blaming the government for these problems existing?
No. In fact, all of my current problems are due to my own choices. And they weren't all bad choice. Sometimes good choices expire and become bad for me. Time to move to something else when that happens. Actually, my state did fuck with my premium tobacco. Pissed me off but a plan is coming together to move to a better state. I won't pretend to not get pissed at others but I think it's healthy if you move on to action quickly. Anger can be a very good emotion if used well.

You did make me think about government though. Although they do cause many problems for me, I seek out solutions outside of politics and anger. Maybe it will help to validate their anger, because some of it probably is valid (even if the blame is misplaced). The key difference comes down to action though. That's the only thing that actually makes a difference. Even something as simple as adopting Bitcoin. If we each just harden ourselves, the government can't have as much power over us.

I wouldn't say my expectations were higher, but I had some hope regarding a relationship that didn't work out. On the other side I got promoted at work, increased my income, gained 20lbs of muscle, traveled to Portugal, and am getting back into training bjj.

For sure, My wife gave birth to our third child this year.
Yes! Only onwards and upwards with minor setbacks. Independence grows by the day through sure will and determination! If I can do it so can anybody.
- wife is going to give birth any day now (conceived right around the new year)
- have a daughter who is almost 3 and to say is anything but thriving is a massive understatement
- gained a certification in Permaculture
- grew more food than any year previously
- grew my social network within my local community
- many camping and family roadtrips have been locked away in the fond memory bank for all of us
- travelled to Greece
- got a decent raise in my corporate FIAT day grind
- I've rid myself of Microsoft and Google for good!
- and of course stacked more sats
Years not finished yet! But, I'm already thinking about ambitious goals for next year!

I had some knee pain that’s gradually getting better. Well… it’s gone now but i still had some in Jan. I’m driving a 20 year old truck atm. I’m in the middle of buying a new one, and should have it in a week. That’ll be great. I can continue stacking sats for years to come
