I hate that Venmo forces you to use a phone number as your primary login ID, so anyone can just spam you with password resets that go right to your texts. What a complete joke.

And they explicitly don’t allow a VOIP numbers, it has to be a number from an approved carrier.
And they will tell us VoIP is less secure but we all know they can't handle the privacy benefits as SMS is KYC all the way 😔

Yes, it’s substantially better. I only keep Venmo because some people I need to occasionally pay refuse to switch to a better app.
venmo is nice for lurking cos so many people keep their stuff public so you can scroll like 'aw man look at these buds still hanging out and nicklendimeing eachother. sweet'
