I hate to break it to you but..
backing into a parking spot doesn’t make you any better than anyone else on the lot

It’s the only way we park in Japan and the only way to fit into some parking spots. If you pulled forward you’d never get out.
Blasphemy
There was a safety study by an insurance actuator for construction companies. The finding was that by backing into parking spots you would leave facing your exit. This prevented a serious problem where there were too many accidents, collisions and even deaths by backing into things. Factors were being tired, in a hurry or just not seeing a person coming.
I after reading this and seeing the safety video on this I immediately changed my own behavior and started backing into parking spots. It was also the policy of the company that everyone who used a company vehicle had to do this.
Sometimes I get lazy because I don't have to do this but mostly I still do this because I don't want this kind of trouble.
"i got no reason to leave quickly and easily"
they said 🍄
I learned recently that a lot of people back in out of habit, because it's a safety requirement on job sites for that very reason. I had no idea.
😭
Backing into a bay: Obviously no-one behind the car. Easy.
Backing out of a bay: Absolute chaos... muppets playing hide & seek in the blind spots.
How does anyone live like that.
This needs to be heard in the midwest 😂
They feel superior most def
I have said before
2 types of people
The ones that back into a parking spot
And the ones that don’t
Nope. Just makes pulling out easier.
I mean that is the whole point right?
Pulling out easy is too high time preference for me 😉
First move forward.
