With this price action I’m never going to be able to convince clients to pay me in bitcoin. I became a lawyer by accident but now it’s like all I earn is this dirty paper wtf. I should have made nut butters and soap. Maybe nostr:npub1v0tfjv5ahr3c260jtzdk5w48krerrnkg8fmcnc5lpguk0qda04eqzm3m3e needs an apprentice?

offer a discount if they pay in bitcoin

convert the fiat to bitcoin if they dont

I'm trying!! 😩

Most clients that understand this stuff just have better access to slippery cuckbucks which they happily line item into legal fees. Legal costs are just too unpredictable and in any case expensive in litigation to make it a sound payment modality, e.g., if litigation goes on for 2-3 years and they paid me in bitcoin they will look back and I will look so much more expensive than I was and that will make them feel worse about the spend so...convert I must

zaprite makes it easy to offer both in the same invoice for what it is worth

I appreciate that, I did have a meeting with Parker to talk through it last year. If I can get my bitcoin practice going at higher volume, I’ll likely be using Zaprite for that arm of the firm. We’re growing rapidly, basically 2 lawyers in 2018 and I think we’re approaching 20 now, just booted out the neighbor in our building and took their territory. Bitcoiners are winning.

Zaprite is what I use. Makes it very easy for a non technical person, such as myself.

I'm going to soon, but you're overqualified. 😂

Another stupid thing about being a lawyer, if you did ever want to change professions I've seen many lawyers try and when the middle manager sees their resume they go "wtf, what does this fancy asshole want to work here for, fuck this nerd"

I would definitely make an exception for you John. I'm one of those ppl that likes to surround myself with ppl that are smarter than I am.

I only pretend to be smart on NOSTR, in person I'm much more retarded but I look forward to maiming myself on your caustic lye. You could probably charge a nice flat fee for soap making courses, that would be fun. Live stream them and watch John-like people get maimed for the lolz

Soap is completely open source. 1000's of videos on YT. That's how I learned, along with a lot of trial and error. And burning the 🤬 outta myself a few times.

Soap my friend, I'm trying to turn you into a soapflooencer for great profit!

Problem is, I, personally, don't want fame. I just want my soap to be famous. 🤷

Wisdom.

Same, I’d like to just keep quiet in my own little corner and let my things speak for themselves. Never really wanted personal attention.

💯🫂

Fame is abhorrent. Fortune can be tricky. Gratitude is the greatest wealth IMHO. Perspective vs reality.

Completely agree. This is why I take the time to hand write thank you notes in every single order. Extremely thankful for everything that comes my way.

Same! Each order has so much meaning behind it, and I am grateful.

🫂🤞🏼

Same. I got to the point in life I just want to make enough money to support and sustain me. I don’t need fancy or fame.

I think that’s a common trait most of us share here on nostr

We found our people 🫂

Think so!!

What type of lawyer? I am desperately in need of attorney I could pay in Bitcoin. Federal district court. Dm if you might be able to help or know someone who could. 😢

Done, check dms

Replied, thanks 🙏

Haha, I mean why don’t you just convert what you’re paid by fiat into btc? Offer a discount to them if they pay in btc? What I’m doing is a lot of work and I’m still not completely sure what I’m doing, but I’m glad that I’m participating in this sphere in someway. I’ve learned a lot though since starting here on nostr. Before coming here I was selling for fiat but now it’s been way better since.

I'm mostly joking to pump my frens brands because I am degenerately short fiat but it is weird in expensive services it would be a bad look if I got paid in btc for 2-4 years of litigation and at the end the client looks back and it looks like they paid me 2x what it would have cost in fiat, really makes better sense to pay in fiat in my arena.
