Maybe I’m off my rocker…maybe. But, most original posts feel like statements thrown into the void. Not much real back-and-forth…more like broadcasting than conversation. It’s not always like that, but mostly.

I think Nostr could become a space for deeper discussion, but it probably needs more people willing to slow down, ask questions, and actually engage instead of just posting and moving on…

Thoughts?

New on here, I was surprised at the level of interactions of those more popular accounts. But then Im new, people don’t know me…

whatchu wanna discuss?

What’s your favourite psyop?

Most engagement comes from the Devs, and if you don’t speak “Dev” it’s hard for people to find engagement in most notes. There’s a lot of people who do this well, but the majority of larger accounts find the most zaps and comments….mostly on Nostr protocols and upgrades. I love it however because I speak the language enough to get by, but others will fall behind and lose interest. Idk. Random thoughts

well, i see u in the timeline, so.. try posting stuff that lends itself to a discussion? you musta done somethin cool cause i followed ya..

For sure. I think I do an ok job at that. I guess I’m just speaking in broader terms for people that don’t get many follows or engagement. I’ve been here for two years and it’s a grind no doubt. And I love it. Everything this space offers for all the obvious reasons.

There’s room for so much here and I’m bullish. I appreciate the convo like this. This is what I’d love to see more of.

"devs"

none of which can build a relay

and half of them are now writing code with Claude

they are just influencoors, really

This has been my experience as well. I’m definitely posting into a void but humble about it and have to start somewhere. Even if it just sends up being a method to archive my own thoughts.

I’ve also found that people, myself included, generally want to share more here on NOSTR than on other platforms. However, it’s hard to compete with 20 years of real world connections I’ve accumulated in other spaces.

I’m aware we’re in the infancy of things here and optimistic. I heard someone say “we’re building the airplane while it’s flying” so to speak, which resonated with me.

yeah, we understand the value of touching grass, but are scared away of making a meaning connection with the people right around us locally

As long as it's not about Bitcoin, Nostr, or topics pumped by the corporate media, I'm probably interested.

We Need more of that

It's microblogging, mainly. Discussion forum needs a different format.

Agree. I think can Nostr can handle both though

Xitter is that way -> đź’©

yeah, if it wasn’t for bitcoin i wouldn’t give a shit about any social media. before just recently getting in nostr, i was off social media for 10+ years.

it always seemed like fiat connection.

false dopemine, fake belonging

we have a common bond with btc, but it’s hard to make it feel genuine

i’ll still commit time and energy to nostr for awhile, maybe another 6-12 months, but will have to have a hard reasseeement to see if it’s even worth it

I hear you

There are many who are here for all those same reasons and still have the same concerns that you pointed out; genuinely

hopefully we find each other đź«‚

Yes, for sure

i love the idea of nostr, 100%

i hope i can make it work for me

and even if i can’t, it can still work for others, so even if it’s not a tool for me, its net positive for sure

It’s a grind here for sure. Keep up the engagement and work brother. It pays off here. Literally
