Reminds me of a time when we were on vacation with fellow fresh parents. When we finally got the children asleep, my wife took a shower and went to the common area, sat and said she would braid her hair, but she was just so damn tired. So, naturally, I stepped in, and to the mild surprise of the other wife and bigger shock of her husband, I braided her hair.

I mean, it's not rocket engineering - the hardest part is to split the strands evenly and then you just weave? 🤷‍♂

the world sleeps on subby hubbies

I hadn't even considered that as a sub chore (reward even?), but it just occurred to me as so strange that you wouldn't be able to do that? It's in the same category as shaving before giving birth - wife has friends that preferred a sister/mother to prepare them? :mindblown:

i think many women are more comfortable other women to help with more intimate tasks like that.

but for something like braiding hair—that's rather simple, but it's not often something a man is seen doing for his significant other.

and you're right—it wasn't a sub chore, it was a genuine expression of love. that's what submission looks like when the intention is pure. <3

I mean, I get it, if it was a decision about a male/female friend. But, lady, you are about to give birth and this is (hopefully) the father of your offspring, who (hopefully²) has touched you there before 😅
