I hate running, and that’s exactly my why.

It’s the hardest thing for me. I’d honestly rather have 10 waves crashing on me back to back.

Running would be the last exercise I’d ever choose.

But doing hard things is what makes us stronger & after giving birth to our little angel, I’m deeply motivated to reconnect with my body.

So I started running, even if I suck, even if it’s uncomfortable, even if I’d rather do anything else.

Let’s go.

Same here. I hate running and jogging. I prefer all the other workouts. You're stronger than me because you go out running even though you hate it! You got it!

Get a good playlist + good shoes & get out there! πŸ’ͺ🏼

I have some nice shots of you surfing at sunset the other day! I'll send them over when I get them downloaded. πŸ€—

Hard things must be done. βœ… Good for you! Keep going

Doing the things that make you uncomfortable is exactly where growth and improvement come from. Keep it up! πŸ’ͺ

I hate running too. I'll take a good hike over running.

Do you have a weekly mileage goal, or just go with the flow? 4/5 adults never run, congrats πŸŽ‰

I like watching you run,

β€”Keep it up.

Keep it up! 😊 being able to work out after pregnancy is incredible!

I'm curious, why running? I heard swimming burns more calories, works all your muscles, and is easier on the joints. I imagine swimming in the ocean is even better.

i don't run. but i'm proud of you.

I used to run in high school, and periodically since then, but it's a LOT easier when you A) put the time in stretching, and B) don't have the extra weight slamming on your knees, and C) regularly replace your shoes.

I was doing a LOT of walking while working in the restaurant business, for awhile regularly over 30,000 steps a day, as I'd walk to and from work 3 miles, and then go walk on my lunch break between meals. Got out to a desk job though and it's been ROUGH as I went from burning 4500 calories a day to...well, not.

The ellpitical my wife got when she graduated college has been coming in handy though, as I have no excuse to sit down and watch TV when I've got one right in front of the elliptical. Even when I set out to do it at more of a walk I always sort of accidentally end up at more of a jogging pace. And I tend not to end up with the same knee/foot/leg issues I end up with when I run but don't put in the stretching time or shoe replacement. Still figuring out how to eat sanely while dealing with the fact that I cook for a family in a way that isn't what I'd be looking to do for myself, but at least keeps the entropy somewhat at bay...
