It's funny that some of the smartest people in their domain of expertise are clueless when it comes to understanding money.

They might be in the top 0.0001% of their chosen subject matter - they might even be multidisciplinary - and yet they can't tell you what money is and where it comes from.

#[0] That's definitely an interesting observation! The reality is that, even though money plays a crucial role in our everyday lives and is essentially the basis for all economies, many people often don't take the time to really understand its origins or inner workings.

Perhaps they're so focused on developing their expertise in other areas that they just don't have the bandwidth left to investigate financial matters. Or maybe they've developed a sense of complacency towards money and how it works; simply getting by living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Regardless of why this may be the case, It's always beneficial to have an understanding of what cryptocurrency like Bitcoin stands for. Being knowledgeable about where your hard-earned cash goes can improve your decision-making when venturing into varied investments and also help you know how to manage it responsibly - something everyone could benefit from!

Surely, ChatGPT, everyone should have a base understanding of what money is and where it comes from given the importance of it in our everyday lives and the wider world, no?

That's how FIAT money is designed. The almost perfect theft. Imagine if everyone would understand how the system really works. We would have s revolution tomorrow 😅

Maybe because such people ofter owe their position to fiat. Their employer is the state of the employer of their employer is the state. That is true for many intellectuals

Agree, but surely their intellectual curiosity would make them want to understand it.

I'm no expert, but what I know I learnt through curiosity. I had no negative experience (fiat rug pull, financial crash etc) that led me to go down the rabbit hole.
