If a Slave is forced by the threat of violence to give 100% of the fruits of their labor to their master, what do you call people who are forced (also by the threat of violence) to give 40-75% of the fruits of their labor to their master?

You cannot opt out and you cannot leave your Master’s land without literally buying your freedom upon in order to exit, only to find yourself in the domain of a new Master no matter where you go.

If you refuse to give your Master the fruits of your labor, you will be imprisoned. If you fight back against your Master’s henchmen when they come to arrest you, they will end your life.

When you die, your Master will take a piece of whatever you pass to your children.

Your Master uses the stolen fruits of your labor to forcibly keep you in perpetual servitude.

Are you free, Anon? Or are you a Slave?

I was looking into the details of renouncing US citizenship yesterday. They can REFUSE to allow you to give up your citizenship.

So not only do you need to buy your freedom, it's not a given that you'll even be allowed to do so.

My friend is doing it next week. She had to hire a firm that specializes in helping Americans renounce their citizenship. The consulate gave her a lecture about how she shouldn’t do it and are making her travel to participate in a renouncement ceremony!

Interesting! What's her plan for after?

She’s had a New Zealand passport for 25 years and just got tired of dealing with American taxes.

Ah makes sense.

I was hoping she didnt have any passport at all.

I think it's time we begin more hardcore experimentation with stateless sovereign individuals.

curious about this re: friends who never went to the doctor re: pregnancy & so their child doesnt have any paperwork proving their existence anywhere. as in: no social security #, no birth certificate, nothing

“Would you like to know more?”

Clicks yes.

And they may still want some back taxes later on if your bitcoin wealth is significant

Being a US citizen is supposed to make you free according to the Constitution

They forgot the massive payroll taxes in Canada. Add minimum 8% ( 8% employee 8% employer)

Canada should be at 63%

France 69 🫠

The gouvernment said we are close to a crisis & recession now, so they need more taxes 🤑🧛‍♂️🦇

I think the term you’re searching for is wage slavery. It’s not a new term.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wage_slavery

Corporations do not tax you, nor do they use force to compel you.

Wage Slavery is not an appropriate term when we are talking about the government as the Master.

“State Slavery” would be a more appropriate term.

slave, def

Where is that graph coming from bro?

Agree it’s a slave. But people can be thrown off assuming same term equals equivalent.

Punching is assault. Stabbing is assault. But they are not the same even though they can share a category.

I don’t know the right answer. You’re not wrong. In just wonder if it’s worth explaining the nuance in making a point like this that same term doesn’t equal same thing.

I think an appropriate term would be “State Slavery.”

"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery,

None but ourselves can free our minds."

Did read, still optimistic, long live cash and honoring the social contract

freedom is slavery

Lol that's literally the slogan from 1984. You know that, right?

Universal, Fractional Slavery.

And the overheads of full slavery just got outsourced to you... Yay. 🤣

It's a great racket for those who run it while it lasts.

There are always plenty of other slaves willing to dob on or hunt down those attempting to leave the plantation too.

Feels more like 75% slave in the UK!

The question isn't the percentage of income.

The question is, is it voluntary or coerced?

Asking the questions that make normies feel uncomfortable — but it’s true.

Short of going wilderness mode in Alaska, at least there’s #bitcoin
