…that’s from WoS via nostr:npub1n0stur7q092gyverzc2wfc00e8egkrdnnqq3alhv7p072u89m5es5mk6h0

nope, that zap was sent from my node

I asked them to include the "P" tag (sender) in their zap receipts, never received any reply. From a UX perspective, it would be preferable that all providers did include the sender so apps can show what they have sent or not.

My node was having trouble. Needed a reboot. And it seemed like there were a lot of gossip messages in the logs??

mine works, send and receive.

hmm weird alright

zap events are so flakey. it's because they need free open relays, and those are throttled and lossy. especially for one off keys and etc. if there was a list of known nodes pubkeys, or a zaps relay, or something that, could help but otherwise it's a tragedy of the commons.

same goes for giftwraps. without using nip42 auth, they will just be attacked, throttled, extinguished. just nostr isnt popular enough yet to matter, so I'm waiting to see what happens eventually.

this is true of any high frequency note type, which is why nostr clients should adopt a retry queue like email does, instead of fire and forget

one of the biggest reasons email got centralized. it was all open relays and very hard to deter spam.

I think anyone who has WoS as the #NOSTR wallet doesn't really want any zaps.

send some to me to verify...
