It's truly the best way. I learned it working in a restaurant in my youth.
With my toaster oven and egg cooker, I can have softboiled eggs, bacon, and sausage in 10 minutes flat. It's a miracle.

It's a great way to make bacon. It cooks in its own fat, and you can drain off the excess into a jar for later.
I still do like cast iron, since it also seasons the pan.
