I hate how true this is

There are children of all ages.

It’s very true. They’re like 10 years behind the curve just like how they were 10 years behind finding out about Facebook

Its worse then that. They basically exclusively believe fairy tales

my local government 5+ years ago "we won't make a Facebook account because printing a monthly newsletter and doing radio advertisements is enough"

my local government now "we no longer use radio advertisements or print a local newsletter, we have shut down our website and will not be answering the phone or responding to emails, instead follow us on Facebook"

“This world is not for you anymore! Just stop making decisions!”

Dman that hits so true. Can't seem to have a real conversation about so many things with the boomers in my life

Oui Chef.

actual children are the only ones living in the real world these days, and even most of them got their eyes glued to screens.

They definately believe in this fairy tale fiat crimeshow in which they have no idea in the midst of all their material possessions that it's all based on wealth stolen from their grandchildren. If they're children, they're delusional children.

It's a little overgeneralized

- not all baby boomers are children but many to most are

- some to many of we genX are not children

- the 25-45 are mostly children but some are not

- under 25s are a mix

I am grateful that I interacted with my grandparents and others from. that generation. the 'best' generation spawned the worst. there's a quasimathematical truth to that somehow.

in the end, regardless of the IQ we are born with, we make a personal choice whether to fake around in the phoney floating realm, participate in the lies they tell each other or step to the side, become adults and seek out other adults regardless of their physical age.

No. It's completely true. There are no exceptions. All boomers are the same. I will not entertain nuance. Either he means all or none, there is no in between.

So true.

My mom especially, her son is a crazy doomthinker and I never even get to make my point so I gave up.

There’s also the scenario/s where some boomers/older gens shield the next gens from the shit they’ve learnt over the course of their lives, when really they should be doing the opposite. It’s a kind of “don’t ruin their childhood/youth with reality” mindset. But I say the earlier they understand the better…

There is room for a little nuance here.

Had a conversation with my wife after my dad was over and him still believing the Lee Harvey Oswald story because he read some 800 page book by some “renowned author”. We were listening to a podcast where Jillian Michaels was saying that her mom simply cannot cope with acknowledging her entire world view and beliefs are frauds and lies. I told her that this was my dad to a tee, and she was in full agreement. He is a wonderful man that I love more than anything, but this statement is so completely accurate. I don’t know if it’s possible to ever break.

Probably not without a heroic dose of LSD

Not a bad idea. Next dinner will be dosed.

Boomers just live in a world full of proof of stake.

I really appreciate those boomers who understand Bitcoin 🙇🏻‍♂️

Cut them some slack…Just because they ruined the food, the money, education, the govt, and believe the Jews are the good guys doesn’t mean anything.

Bit more nuanced than grouping millions of people but get the sentiment. My generation benefited from low interest rates and real estate appreciation but not all of us are loaded like the Boomers being referenced here as completely removed from reality. Our family believes in hard work, respect for others, freedom, and being open minded to a changing world. That’s why I’m still working, stacking, and trying to humbly learn #bitcoin 😊

You can easily group millions of people. Most people are incapable of independent thought. If you’re an outlier then you’re an outlier, but most are normies.

Today; 66 year old man told me they are loving retirement. He said “I’m only working 3 days a week, part time at Walmart.”

I leaned over and whispered..

“I’m running my own business, and I’m way more retired than you will ever be.” 🤫

A few weekends ago I helped my father understand how inflation works. He is very smart but uncurious, but I saw reality briefly reflected in his mind.

Every day

lol that’s so emo

Boomers are the woooorst

Not all of them are the worst. There are some youth who are worse than baby boomers.

It is our work as humans to notice the exceptions and not assume the stereotypes.

Yeah but it’s more fun just to pile on

Actual conversation:

Me: Trump is going to win.

Boomer: Stop believing Joe Rogan conspiracies.

Me: the Trump/Rogan interview has 54 million views.

Boomer: The polls say otherwise

Their entire informational infrastructure has failed them, now their money is about to do the same.

The most ironic part is there are no restrictions on boomers watching alt media or buying Bitcoin. It’s all Stockholm syndrome.

Humanity is a trip.
