Why don't more people use Damus/Primal (NOSTR) in general for advertising their business/products/services. It feels like more of a Bitcoin club than anything else. Genuine question from someone who is interested in finding alternative ways to share their content and products outside of the X/Youtube ecosystem.
So far i've found as a noob it's a bit hard to find/connect with people who share your interests.
Two words: VERY EARLY

My guess is they want audience statistics first, which is more complicated to get on a decentralized platform. Also, without an algorithm to play/pay to, they have to do the work of building their audience which requires consistent content that other folks find valuable and that takes time …. Time they could use gaining thousands of followers on centralized social media.

As for connecting, try looking at hashtags of your interests… #art #photography #permaculture etc.
To get wider reach for your questions (about Nostr or anything), use the hashtag #asknostr

Businesses go where customers are. Normal businesses do t have their customers here yet.
It’s still a small little world here. But one with tremendous promise. Probably the only viable solution that exists to the problem of centralized social media.
But it will likely stay small for some time to come. There are noticeably more people like you arriving every month. And it’s having a really positive effect on the experience, I hope this trend accelerates more as we go.
I’d recommend searching hashtags of things you’re interested in, see who’s posting quality content in your spectrum of interest, be generous with your follows, and go from there!

I have the same thoughts/experience as you. Not sure yet about the ecosystems big picture. Can’t quite connect the testimonies of fans with actual experience. Hope you find something useful! Cheers.
