I was about to argue with someone on nostr because they were wrong on the internet and my wife said that I have 2 small children and a life, thus I'm not allowed to waste time like that.
What to do?

What to do?
Your wife is right but you do go to the bathroom feom time to time right, right π
Not enough time for a full rant
Your wife is right.
It is better you teach this to you kids.
Spending time with them makes this planet a better place.
Waste your time with your children.
It's the Nostr.
Honey, you take the kids to the party, I have to argue with someone that's wrong on the Internet.

do it, you donβt want to regret it later on π€
I guess for me it would be, "I wish I spent more time standing up for my own beliefs."
Which is what I'm thinking about now and something I don't want to regret not doing later.
And to what ends? π
I saw this post many years ago, during the golden age of Facebook and it made me quit the online arguments entirely. The only entity that profits from th is is Facebook, or whatever platform.
Get her to do the online arguing for youπ
close the browser and back away.
That's grounds for divorce.
You can't let him off that easy. Everyone knows that internet arguments always end with one or the other admitting they are wrong and their world view completely changing for the better. :/
I donβt think βnot allowedβ is correct. Though how wise it can be to argue on the internet can vary a lot based on circumstances of the moment and who is listening.
Iβm trying to figure this balance out myself.
Maybe involve your family in internet conversations? It could be a really enriching opportunity for your kids especially to help them explore why this person is wrong and what the best thing to say is.
This is excellent
