I post for fun. I don't really get much engagement but yeah post what makes you happy. You can always make another npub is you want to niche
I post comics and engage on topics of interest as they come up. I also ask questions.
There are lots of people with niche interests here who have had a great experience. The best advice I can offer is be genuine. Who you are inside will shine through!

Just make a couple posts of whatever is on your mind per day. Reply to things that interest you. Don't forget to use hashtags. Follow people you like and post a comment saying 'I also like topic x, followed'. Using #grownostr will get your niche posts out to a bunch of people. I follow this tag, had to block a few users spamming it with crap I don't like, but have found a bunch of stuff I do like.
I joined about a year ago and did not interact or post much and my experience was poor. I got back on about a month ago trying to interact more and followed more people and hashtags. This made all the difference.
Niche content is great. Saying what’s on your mind also.
i tried doing niche but then i wanted to talk to people so it ends up being both...some people have two accounts one for content creation and one for hanging out

I speak what's on my mind, but a lot of it happens to be about how to stay secure in the information age, open source/community driven software, and living in a more sustainable way(in every sense of the phrase). Some people would consider these a bunch of niche topics, but I see them as deeply connected.
I agree. They may not be niche on nostr though. I see a bunch of this, but it also interests me, so I build my experience around it.
I just blather on as inanely and incoherently as I can manage.

show your range, too many bots and npc already. dont 'try' to fit in and you'll make authentic conections. imo
