I always really enjoy this part of starting a new project. Cleaning the mold and oxidation off to see what kind of patina is under it. Water, comet bleach, and a scotch-brite pad does the trick. I was on the fence about whether or not this truck would end up getting painted when I bought it. I’m leaning towards leaving it as is now. Here’s a couple before and afters

I love following this so much

Glad to hear it. Social media has always been about cars, trucks, and bikes for me. Not much of that going on here. Just trying to be the change I want to see 🤷‍♂️

Got my follow

Thank you much 🫡

I didn’t mean to zap my own note 🤦‍♂️

Yeah, thats why i follow you, cool people doing cool stuff is the secret sauce in life 👍🏻

I appreciate it. Bitcoin is cool but you can’t forget to live too

#Bitcoin is the foundation to build on, it is not the whole house 😉🤣

There’s just something so cool about real patina

Agreed, looks cool and tells a bit of a story. I can’t stand faux patina paint jobs 😤 either leave the real deal alone or give it a proper paint job

Clear coat and call it a day!

Age looks good on it!

I’ve owned a lot of old cars and I’ve never painted any of them, why start now? 🤷‍♂️

Absolutely go with the patina. I just used the same concoction on my newly acquired 79 ford followed up with some sweet patina sauce.

I just got some of that for one of my other trucks but haven’t applied it yet! Sounds like you’re happy with the results?

Yeah, it made it shine even more and hid some of the swirlies. I like the patina look on my truck better than the cherry paint on my car lol
