Yesterday I was bringing packages away at the local delivery point in my hometown. I ran across a guy I used to cycle to high school with. This was over 20 years ago… he was not looking good at all. So I brought up some old discussion topics we used to have when cycling. We both liked the Nissan skyline GTR back in those days. It gave him a big smile. He said he lost it after high school. First worked a bit in a warehouse, but was lost to alcohol and drugs and started stealing. He told me he was famous in the city of Oss for his steals. This guy was in the highest grade high school and has been roaming the streets for 20 years now. It’s sad to see so many people lost, even in a small town like this. When I grew up I never expected to see so much decline. I moved back to my hometown a couple years ago, but this doesn’t look like the place where I grew up in. We’re not going to expose our kids to this toxic environment. We have some ideas to move. Where would you move to?

Den Bosch jonguh
That is a sad story. We're also strongly considering moving, especially now that my wife is pregnant. but it's not easy to find a better place. everyone has trade-offs. but in terms of weather and landscape, the canarie islands would be an option for me
Difficult question. Sadly, I believe there is no nation state left, that is completely healthy. My two sats are: away from the big cities, away from drug consumers and dealers, away from Socialism and abusive taxation. To me that’s outside EU.
The time has come to organise ourselves in Bitcoin citadels. A place of refuge from clown 🤡 world 🌎. Me and my family are interested.
This sounds cool, but I could fear huge disappointment by bitcoiners when one realizes their values in other areas. Fx many bitcoiners support psychopathic zionistic politicians because they talk pro-bitcoin. 😬
True. Within us bitcoiners there is a multitude of values and visions of how to live life. And that is good. We can build citadels of different values. We can be friends and trade. No one forces anyone to live his type of life. For example, I would trade and visit a bitcoin citadel where drugs are legal, but I don’t want to live there.
hey Bert, Panama seems not too bad, no army and bitcoin friendly, all year good weather etc.

Too far away from family and the time difference is a killer. Want to be able to drive for the next “lockdown”. If anything happens to our parents we want to be able to be with them.
understandable Bert, so you preferably wat to stay in Europe? I left Belgium in 2005 working & living in South East Asia for the last 7y and indeed it is quite a long trip back home.
Bidden dat onze kinderen, binnen een cultuur in staat van ontbinding, een sterk geweten ontwikkelen. Toch zullen ze dwalen, zoals ook wij ouders.
I always liked Norway. I don't think they are making the brightest of decisions at this moment either but they have a pretty decent track record. It's still within the Europe but not in the EU. You can live far away from anything and still benefit from all the western things you are acustomed to here.
