I hate it but electric motors don’t play nice with amplitude modulation. I think the talk radio stations will move to FM or phone apps and be ok

I’m 36 and have listened to AM radio a number of times, typically to hear a sports game while I was working in the middle of nowhere. It is a unique technology that allows information to travel over long distances. When you need it or use it, it’s because you’re pretty far from other humans.
I use it every year to get mountain pass warnings during ski season.
