Asked some normie friends what they think of the bank stuff. No concern at all.
I brought up Bitcoin & they scoffed. Same mocking tone as when I mentioned Bitcoin to them in 2012.
Mind-blowing levels of cope and ignorance.
I feel sorry for these guys. They either work for the government or do mindless fiat work. Tried to get them on bitcoin for years.
They must see me as a lucky idiot. I don't know what else to think. 😂
I get the same reaction from my normie friends. I haven’t been in it as long as you, but it’s been a few years now and nothing has changed. We’re so early still.
On the flip side, why should they worry, really? Papa Gubmint has said they'll be just fine.
There is something they are not grasping, maybe it looks like an investment like the stock market and don't feel comfortable investing.
Wild. My friends get why Bitcoin is important, but they still don’t make effort to go down the rabbit hole. Must be the fluoride.
I used to see a similar attitude when I was bringing it up. Now their main curiosity is how much I stacked over the years.
I believe their only source of information is their favorite news channel. They disregard the rest.
As far as I can tell some people seem to acknowledge that entrepreneurial / creative types exist and produce amazing things that they actually use on a daily basis, but they don’t personally know anyone like that so to them the entire world must be like themselves earning a steady paycheck from an employer and people just retire at 65-70 and other ways of living are impossible to imagine.
Can confirm. I recently came out as a bitcoiner at work and one younger employee was like “nice, your going to be rich”… she was sincere in her statement yet continues to ignore it and not own any herself - like wtf??
Ignorance, they have no plan b so they just ignore reality. Most people will never unplug.
The “no concern at all” part is very disturbing.

Walker is just an engineer and they’re big finance/law guys, so what could Walker possibly teach them about money and government?
Some have come around more recently, but my one buddy who’s a former big corporate lawyer and now works for the SEC is quite possibly the worst of them 😂
See how unintelligent a lot of doctors positioned themselves recent years, how does this surprise anyone? Every profession has its majority share of retards.
I have a close buddy at the biggest bank who’s also high up the chain. He’s concerned about banks becoming gov’t utilities. Basically thanks banks should be allowed to fail for bad decisions. I brought him over to BTC so he understand the value prop but he’s also deeply entrenched in tradfi banking. He admits this whole thing is a sham.
Katie Haun of Haun Ventures is a former Assistant District Attorney with the DOJ and she gets #Bitcoin. I'm surprised that attorneys in the SEC don't get it.
I think that’s why gov/central banks will always save the banks and choose inflation: a real bank run/ people losing on deposits would make those people react. But with inflation, till it’s not hyper, they are the frogs that is being boiled slowly and stays in the pot
So the question is, how long until hyperinflation?

I didn't try this time, but yes, they just don't seem to care about any of the things that are relevant.
And then when you make a breakthrough its up only or somehow they got duped. I’ve give up trying to pursue people close to me, I just talk about all the problems we see, problems we know come from the broken system. Everyone knows I bitcoin, they know where I am when they eventually deserve to get some.
I asked a barista if they planned on accepting Bitcoin in the future and she laughed. I could have laughed at her ignorance but it was too sad.
