I had no idea bout this and that’s insane, but also not surprising. nostr:note144fhf7hr0v9tdtvu4ysjzppl382zj0sm3h9f5mz3yhaany4x0hnqptfxrv

Google is everywhere.

From my understanding this info gets link to your Google ID. If you don't gave a Google ID there isn't really anything to tie the info to. You can degoogle your phone (Calyx or Graphine, mostly for pixel phones, ironically, but they are inexpensive on the used market). Using multiple browsers on your PC and only logging into Google with one of them and doing everything not Google related on another browser should help also. Google, Meta, Amazon (AWS), and Microsoft want to track everything we do and sell it to anyone that wants it. It's up to us to find ways to minimize their spying.

It's a very sneaky way to collect data. But yeah, basically the client (your browser) downloads the fonts from a Google server so it should be obvious :))

You can also use LocalCDN extension, which blocks google fonts

It's no wonder #Google are so keen to move to the new manifest :(
