I started working on a little project a few weeks ago and I'm only getting around to getting it out the door now. 🙈

https://listr.lol is a tool to check out your (and other's) NIP-51 lists on Nostr. I'm going to make it easy to update your lists very soon. The idea is that over time this will be an interesting place to browse other people's curated lists of people, notes, and more.

If you're of my vintage, you might remember Del.icio.us – this is a bit like that. 👴🏼

Waiting on the update to make lists easier to update. Do you have any tool to create Categorized People list ?

Yeah. It’ll be part of the management aspect. I’m imagining a way to add/remove items (both in a public and private way) or create entirely new lists and delete lists.

This is great, looking forward to be able to edit lists. Would be cool if lists had naddr link so they can be embedded anywhere, will make adding lists to notes and long form content a breeze.

Good suggestion – on desktop I show the list's ID but naddr is trivial to add, I'll add that today sometime with a copy/paste link.

Nice, you can also use it to have unique URLs for lists so people can share links to a preview of their list. Pasting these in Habla will get turned into a NIP 27 mention.

Are you planning to implement zaps? I think it would be cool.

That’s something I noticed super quickly, actually. Women’s mute lists are waaaaayyyyy longer than men’s.

It’s a different world apparently. 🙁

Interesting. I didn’t make it. I’m only just starting to build editing and creating lists into Listr.

Right now, I’m just querying a bunch of relays for type 1000 (mute), 10001 (pin), 30000 (people), and 30001 (bookmarks) lists.

That means it must have been created elsewhere.

I have noticed that some clients are using lists to manage scroll or read positions, etc. But it’s nearly impossible to tell who because there aren’t any user agents in most cases.

I tried creating a list on nostrgram, it shows up on listr, but appears empty there..

yeah, it's kinda bullshit; these events are becoming a dumping ground for app metadata 😕

I think this issue was that replaceable events kind range from 30,000 was defined before reserving 30,000-3 for lists, etc.

Everyone always seem to pick the first or last numbers in an open range.

I've already learned a lot about a few people (the blocked and the blockers) by looking at their block lists 😏

Very cool, for anyone interested, Coracle just added list support this week, so if listr is compatible, you will be able to edit and view lists created in listr as custom feeds in Coracle.

Nice!! I’ll have a look into what coracle is doing but if it’s NIP-51 compatible then it’ll work with Nostr.

In theory, they should be compatible, but you never know if there are implementation irregularities, especially at the beginning. Also, I've only implemented the public part of the spec, so private lists aren't supported.
