They are certainly *trying* to do that. After the covid fraud though, it’s a much harder sell.
I think that people are waking up as I sit in the comfort of my Nostr bitcoin maxi bubble and then I will have a normie conversation with people saying, “I have nothing to hide”, “I’m willing to give up small freedoms for the greater good” or “a CBDC would be so convenient, I never use cash anymore anyways” and I become disheartened.
I hear you, and I’ve experienced the same, but in my laptop-class circles mostly. I think regular people who were much more impacted and harmed by the measures are far less likely to comply. And even more people in my circles are waking up too.
I think the ruling class is losing power, and they’re getting desperate.
And the masses are at the spigot ready to lap up the next story. We need to teach philosophy at schools so people learn to think again!
