When I left Twitter some person laughed and implied that I was crazy to ditch 6000 followers for a totally new platform.
I didn’t even reply to him because I felt sorry he cared that much about the follower count. Congrats on being beholden to a pointless vanity metric! 😏
I never cared about followers, I found it a limitation as each time I crossed 1k I'd get kyc'd and have to nuke or I'd get banned. Losing the accounts I followed sacked more

I have like 200 and most of them are inactive accounts for old friends 😢
I've had more quality conversations here in a month and a half than I did in a year on birdsite. Ended up with more followers too. I even believe a good portion are real people (or ChatGPT 5, who can tell anymore).
