It's basically just carrots thinly sliced into strips with a peeler, then marinated with lemon juice, smoked salt, smoked paprika, a bit of tamari sauce, and a shredded nori sheet (seaweed). Then I put it in the dehydrator for a few hours. After that I add olive oil.

Ah ok. Didn't know tamari sauce, sounds very interesting. So you do eat olive oil. Look for green olive oil or whatever the name is for the early oil that is exctracted when the olives are still green when it is available. Remember this is live food and after a few months from the extraction it is turned into normal olive oil. It is a treasure if you find the right stuff

I use Tamari sauce that is not pasteurized. Not easy to find...

Yes, I do eat oils...not much but I do....and I use only native oils and only first-press olive oil :) Oh yes, sometimes I get the extracted from fresh gren olives. Very strong flavour and for sure the most healthy one. Lucky you, you are definitely at the source

That's how I eat olive oil... 🍽

I remember, when I was still eating bread...I did that tooo and it's so yummy ☺️

That is the proper way to judge the taste of olive oil btw.

Have you tried this with some sugar on top? Try it once...

Not yet, but will try... 🍽

The flavour is really fruity, ideal for salads, in fact it is used only in salads.

extra virgin, first cold pressing

the rest of the "olive oil" is chemically extracted at high temperatures and loses all of its goodness

Chemically?

It is pured with hot water (to extract more). Yes the hot water does significant damage, but that's it.

the heat destroys all of what is good in it, so yeah

I was about to ask the same thing. 🀣
