The ux for cashu still needs work. Nwc, lightning addresses, lnurl simplifies lightning usage. Probably a nwc for cashu would go a long way. The cashu in emoji had the right idea/direction

You cannot onboard the whole world to self custody lightning with the way it works right now, there is not enough timechain space to keep making channels at the rate of births, if I am not mistaken. You need an additional scaling solution. Cashu mints are one such solution.

We need a better Nostr onboarding. Maybe it's just me, and I don't know better, but tried with someone and they just saw a bunch of japanese and spam stuff and run away

Either way, removing the tax requirements would probably help. More merchants accepting it. I would use Lightning a lot more in spite of the aforementioned if I actually could. Mullvad is the main subscription I can use it for. A couple others are Bitcoin on chain. Besides that, everyone wants fiat. I always get a chuckle when Bitcoiner companies or Bitcoin friendly companies only accept fiat.
Nostr is by far the most I use Lightning and I'm mostly doing that as a 'like' button. And I like spending the coin.
what kind of people? I think if you narrow it by your target audience, the solution becomes a little less vague.

The easiest app I show them is Wallet of Satoshi: no login required, no id, no fees, and I tell them they can buy stuff with Bitrefill.
