My body started to fall apart approaching forty

Start stretching regularly. 5mins a day does wonders for the stiffness

That and also lifting weights helps a lot for your back strength.

36, but have 13 bolts below the waist from traumatic injuries. You need to strengthen different aspects of your core/back. Erectus spinae and sacrum regions are often root causes, along with the typical muscle imbalance everyone tends to have

you could try sleeping on the floor

Dude I feel like that might be part of it. My wife loves a very soft bed. Might need to get a sleep number or something.

literally just sleep on the floor

Exercise and eat healthy, and don’t consume did that is widespread on the internet and nostr. Do your own scientific research and don’t trust hypy sources that have no education or background on the subject 🐶🐾🫡

Absolutely

Wait til you hit 50 bro. Come talk to me then 😂😂

😂

This is it. This is our existence now.

😂 that’s my fear dude

Yoga has been good for me at 52. A good stretch is the answer for most things sore.

I was doing yoga regularly over the winter but haven’t much since it’s gotten nice and I can get outside. Will have to start back up.

Yep I had chronic back pain for many years until I started regularly doing yoga. I think just moving your body around in any way helps. We spend too much time sitting in chairs staring at screens.

And the breathing. Shit, some of the moves are simple until they say .... take a deep breath and you may feel muscles you didn't know you had.... for a few days after the session. 🤣

Yes off and on. Get a good mattress

I'm 48. Short answer? Yes.

Productive answer? Only if you don't maintain the machine. Drink plenty of water, stretch regularly, eat seafoods (unless allergic. If so, take in more vitamin A D E) and regular exercise (walking, hiking, sex... etc).

Going to try to get back to doing yoga for sure. Will have to up my seafood intake. Appreciate it dude!

My back is usually fine, luckily. Walking every day is helpful, plus exercise and stretching.

Working on the computer for hours is a risk zone. Me and my wife have a temporary setup in a small apartment where we can't fit regular desks, so our PC's + keyboards are placed on top of 2 boxes of books. This saves space but is not great for posture when working, especially when I paint or sculpt with a digital pen on my Wacom tablet/monitor.

Reduce toxic intakes, lift with legs rather than the back. At work, ask for an extra hand if something is too heavy or the lifting position is bad.

Fixable. Listen to the Christopher Sommers podcasts on Tim Ferriss. Great mobility tips.

Look into carnivore nutrition as per Shawn Baker MD and at Ted Naiman MD.

Find a yoga class that you like and make it a priority

yoga , but also a rumble roller and maybe a acupuncture mat

I have never heard of an acupuncture mat. Will give that a try! 🙏

I used to wake up every day with backpain, changing the mattress fixed it. Start by fixing your bed and see if problems persist. If your wife prefers a softer mattress, consider switching to a European style bed that has two mattresses instead of just one. The right spinal support is the key to a good night's rest, and European-designed mattresses offer exactly that. Furthermore, it offers: Relief of pressure points on the joints and the spine. The ability to align the spine appropriately throughout the night.

The duvets in Europe are usually also two, improves sleep and no more nightly pulling of the duvet. No two people are alike, why would we have the same mattress then?

BTW: Skip yoga, 🧘‍♂️ that's all hippyshit. ☮️💩 😂

Do you have a mattress you recommend?

In Amsterdam mine is from auping.com but Emma is also a popular brand so I'm not sure if the brands are for sale on your side of the pond.
