I have never been impressed by Dennis, but that criticism is not very specific. Political lobbying? Who cares. STAY HUMBLE AND STACK SATS.
IDK who this guy is. Heard about him on a podcast the other day.
I don’t trust this anon account
Look at the other papers by Carla Reyes:

🌎👨🚀🔫👨🚀
I really hate that I shared a state with that dick waffle. Fuck.
What did I miss?
I am apparently out of the loop, as I have no idea what this is about. The screenshotted thread is quite vague IMO, so to play the devils advocate; why should this be taken seriously?
Same. Anyone have a link to what was being discussed?
🤯
I appreciate the work that went into these screenshots
I've always been suss of Dennis Porter - not sure what this thread is about but instinctively I AGREE!
👀 whoa
This sucks to see. Have you verified any of the claims or have reasons to believe they're correct? If not, why amplify an account that's clearly set up as a (cowardly?) anonymous attack on an individual.
Who is writing this?
Other papers by this “Carla Reyes”
“Moving Beyond Bitcoin to an Endogenous Theory of Decentralized Ledger Technology Regulation: An Initial Proposal”
“(Un)Corporate Crypto-Governance”
Sounds like Carla Reyes is the one who is bad for Bitcoin
Excerpt From “Moving Beyond Bitcoin” by Carla Reyes: Specifically, when this Article proposes an endogenous theory of regulation, it suggests that regulators undertake the dual task of enacting a law or regulation via statute and then implementing that statute through code by engaging in an iterative and cooperative process with the technologies' core developers and with consensus from the network, so that regulation is endogenously incorporated into the decentralized ledger technology and the applications running on top of the technology!
“…. REGULATORS undertake the dual task of enacting a law or regulation via statute and then implementing that statute through code…” - Carla Reyes
Sabotage must be expected
I don't know why but I've always thought Denis Porter was full of shit and never cared about what he had to say. I thought he was a shitcoiner or something like that
Looks like my intuition was right
Context for non-US people?
dont know context.
but what if?
what if this lawmaker/& office were truly not "bitcoiners"...
what if they recently passed a bill that was sneaky, antibitcoin & pro cbdc?
what if they solicited just for "hunting-game stakes", advice from bitcoiners to easily identify them and their tilts & strategies on legislation? what if this allows repeatable steps via legislation to defeat pro liberty, promarket, good for bitcoin type stuff & share tactics with other states?
what if the people or satoshi funds mentioned tried ernestly to advise stuff that helps bitcoiners?
what if they were stabbed in back and to pour salt on wound, given credit for the bill they advised against lol
again, have no idea about anything involved but could definitely see shit like above playing out. sounds like this porter character gives bad vibes to commenters. in guessing same goes for satoshi action fund or whatever its called?
what if ODELL commented to give us all SOME context
Thought for a moment we walkt #[2]
I smell cope
Nah
The dont trust verify could apply here as well even with well intentioned people and organisations
On UCC and Bitcoin, some context for those who haven't followed state policy:
Dennis Porter came and spoke at the NH Commission for Crypto and Digital Assets.
He talked a lot about mining, the benefits of on demand energy consumers, etc. He was professional, the room was mostly legislators, bank regulators, and he did a great job.
I’m not sure about the details of this UCC stuff, but from what I saw him do, talk about and push for, I did not see any thing that’d make me think he’s bad for bitcoin.
The crypto Twitter clout game is getting more and more insane tbh
Oh, bloody hell.
I don’t understand how you can look at Dennis Porter and not know he’s a weirdo piece of shit
I’m being objective here, as I’m just a lowly pleb and have never met any of the bigger players/influencers, but what strikes me about this information is the nebulous phrases “good for bitcoin” and “bad for bitcoin”.
On the surface here all I see is that DP stated and fought against what he said was statist agendas and CBDC advocacy.
I personally believe these are indeed things to be tested, questioned, and resisted.
The information posted is by a group that looks to expose DP as bad for Bitcoin but all I (we) see is them saying DP’s claims are not true.
Hard for me, as a pleb who is not present behind closed doors, to read that and know what to make of it.
Just offering my perspective.
Peace
