Before a few months, I didn’t use Lightning. I didn’t know BOLT11 from BOLT12 from LNURL. I didn’t know anything. Now I am so bullish on Lightning.

Love it. I've been saying that Lighting is the killer feature of Nostr. It really is true. We're onboarding so many new plebs to Lightning and showing them just how amazing it truly can be.

it is ok. it works. fees are tolerable. but it would be excellent and make nostr outstanding if also monero was integrated. faster. lower fees and private. monero does not need a seperate, different network like lightning. most people do not know that lightning is a seperate network, it is not the bitcoin blockchain

monero has a superior architecture. it is much faster, cheaper to send and private. you thought you bought monero when you bought bitcoin

Lower fees than Lightning? 😂 Maybe more private, but Lightning is very private if you want it to be.
I’ve never met anyone using lightning who doesn’t know it’s an L2 off chain. Do they exist, sure? But I don’t think this is a major misconception users have.

ok, you know it but most people think it is the bitcoin network. make people aware that no one sends a large amount over lightning. it is not secure and not as decentralized as the bitcoin network
It has way less users and will not become bitcoin. Work on making bitcoin more private.
if bitcoin was more private it would still need to scale better. now it is using lightning which is an additional layer, it is not the bitcoin network. lightning is less secure and less centralized. no one sends larger amounts over lightning. watch this video:

Nothing is stopping Monero supporters and developers from building infrastructure and applications around nostr to support using Monero other than a lack of network effect and willpower. The truth is that there is very little meaningful monero activity in the wild. It's a fairly limited community.
