The president of El Salvador asked for my help in getting his people into self custody, paying in Bitcoin, and celebrating all that is happening in the country.

Happy to be speaking at what should be a fantastic event in November (just prior to adopting Bitcoin)

Together we heal the world with Bitcoin

how does Bitcoin heal the world if it can’t benefit poor people in the USA?

🇺🇸 Bitcoin is not a structural solution to poverty… it’s a parallel money system, not a redistributive one. (systemic economic problems like wage stagnation, healthcare costs…class inequalities)

Because; if it stays decentralised and secure, then it brings about the first global, true free market that has ever existed. It’ll allow the benefit of productivity gains (from technology and innovation) to flow to everyone in the form of lower prices. It’ll reduce the monetary premium that realestate has attracted. It’ll incentivise cheap and renewable energy production.

yes I know that is what is implied/said about the grand and distant future of Bitcoin. “We are so early”.

I am saying it’s interesting and disappointing that the Human Rights Foundation only talks about helping poor people in developing nations. I have yet to see or hear someone discuss how Bitcoin can help America’s working poor.

Basically, if you are a #pleb who is #hodl ing and #stackingsats then that just means that you are most likely middle class.

mayyybe upper class.

Not if you’re in the oligarch class, or the working poor class.

Falling prices of essentials in Bitcoin terms could benefit the poor working class by increasing their purchasing power, preserving savings against inflation, and enabling low-cost micro-savings. However, volatility, limited merchant acceptance, and barriers like tech literacy or taxes limit immediate benefits. For maximum impact, workers would need to hold Bitcoin long-term, use it strategically (e.g., for remittances), and navigate risks with education.

your response has 3 parts.

the 1st part is off-topic; still talking about a distant, idealized future.

middle part is an accurate confirmation of the problem: that poor people don’t have access to the benefits of bitcoin.

the 3rd part is irrelevant and contradictory to what was already said. Most poor people lack the ability to HODL long term, remittances from the US are limited in usefulness, and access to education is generally limited . . . chat GPT can be very educational, but only if one thinks to ask *and* knows what to ask… or is shown how to use it - like setting it up in their native language, or having it on ‘speaking’ mode if they are illiterate.

Looks great Jeff! Good luck!

Thanks my friend!

That's amazing, good luck Jeff 🙏

🙏

Amazing work, congrats G.

Well this looks like a real bitcoin conference

Good luck making an impact

I’m not President of anyone.

But I’d offer .25 Bitcoin a month to 4 businesses/services who receive over 25 transactions into a Chibo wallet in the preceding month.

Don’t overthink, or over-educate.

The role of ES Gov’t is to offer a carrot to embrace Bitcoin into their business.

And this is called Bitcoin-Socialism?

Self-custody + Bitcoin payments + real adoption = a glimpse of the future. El Salvador is leading, the world is watching.

Looks great Jeff! 💜🧡Good luck!🫵🏽

🙏

People follow trends, not costs. Gaining network effect is tough; they need clear benefits. Profit drives interest. It's hard to achieve, but good luck. Drastic measures like eliminating Bitcoin taxes or taxing other currencies could help. Merchants accepting Bitcoin could charge less than for fiat. Such incentives will drive mass adoption, as people prioritize profit over ideals.

Let me know if we can help in any way, Jeff.

congrats!!

🤘🧡🤘

Just bought my ticket to the event. Really excited to attend.

Did he say anything about gold?!

Please be careful Jeff.

Ask Nayib about his former national security advisor.

He was a guest on my humble little show before his murder.
